Job Title: Finance Supervisor (Payments & Fintech)

Role Summary:
The Finance Supervisor will oversee financial operations, reporting, and controls for payments and mobile money services, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily finance operations (reconciliations, settlements, and reporting)
- Oversee wallet, merchant, and transaction reconciliations
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and cost tracking for payment services
- Prepare financial reports and support month-end/year-end closing
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
- Support audits (internal and external) and regulatory reporting
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and settlement processes
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Compliance teams
- Identify process improvements and drive efficiency in finance operations
- Supervise and guide junior finance staff

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 4–7 years’ experience in fintech, banking, or financial services
- Strong experience in payments, reconciliations, and settlements
- - Knowledge of South African financial regulations and reporting standards
- Professional certification (e.g., CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA) is an advantage
