Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, self-driven, and hands-on HR Manager to lead and build our HR operations in Pakistan from the ground up. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing a structured HR department, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, leading recruitment and retention strategies, managing employee relations, and aligning HR operations with the strategic goals of a growing fintech company.

Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Department Setup:
  • Set up and lead all HR functions in Pakistan, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR operations.
  • Establish HR processes, documentation, SOPs, and systems suitable for a startup fintech environment.
  • Define and implement HR policies, handbooks, and employee lifecycle frameworks aligned with company culture and legal compliance.
2. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding:
  • Drive full-cycle recruitment (from sourcing to onboarding) for technical and non-technical roles.
  • Collaborate with global teams to define job requirements and sourcing strategies.
  • Build employer branding initiatives to attract top fintech talent in Pakistan.
3. HR Operations & Administration:
  • Oversee payroll coordination, employee records, and attendance management.
  • Manage benefits, compliance, and employment contracts in line with company policies and Pakistan labor laws
  • Ensure compliance with all Pakistani labor laws, tax regulations, and employment standards.
4. Employee Relations & Culture:
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work culture aligned with our fintech values.
  • Handle grievance redressal, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and exit formalities with fairness and professionalism.
  • Organize employee engagement, wellness, and development activities.
5. Performance Management & Training:
  • Design and roll out performance appraisal frameworks.
  • Identify training needs and implement L&D initiatives.
  • Coach and guide line managers on people management best practices.


Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in an HR leadership role.
  • Proven experience in building an HR department from scratch (0 to 1).
  • Strong understanding of Pakistani labor laws, HR compliance, and regulatory matters.
  • Hands-on experience in fintech/startup environment is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong command of English and Urdu for business communication.
