Position Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Officer – Legal to support PalmPay Bangladesh in day-to-day legal operations. This role will focus on contract drafting and review, legal documentation, regulatory coordination, and compliance support under the guidance of Head of Legal
The position requires strong execution capability, sound legal understanding, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Legal Advisory & Support
  • Provide preliminary legal advice on labor law, commercial contracts, and regulatory matters.
  • Support internal departments with routine legal queries and documentation.
  • Assist in interpreting Bangladesh laws and regulatory requirements relevant to fintech operations.
2. Contract & Documentation
  • Draft, review, and revise standard contracts, agreements, NDAs, vendor agreements, and internal policies.
  • Identify potential legal risks and escalate complex issues .
  • Maintain proper filing and tracking of contracts and legal documents.
3. Legal Research & Reporting
  • Conduct legal research on laws, regulations, and case precedents.
  • Prepare legal summaries, internal memos, and draft opinions for review.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and support implementation within the organization.
4. Compliance & Regulatory Coordination
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with Bangladesh Labor Law, company policies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Support internal investigations, dispute documentation, and response preparation.
  • Coordinate documentation with external counsel and regulatory authorities when required.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with HR, Compliance, Finance, and Business teams on documentation and legal support.
  • Assist in preparing legal awareness materials and internal compliance training support.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Education
  • LL.B and LL.M from a recognized university
  • Completion of BPTC will be an added advantage.
  • Bangladesh Bar Council license (Advocate enrollment preferred).
Experience
  • 2–3 years of relevant legal experience (law firm, corporate, fintech, financial services, or telecom).
  • Experience in contract drafting and legal documentation.
  • Exposure to labor law and regulatory compliance matters.

Skills & Competencies
  • Strong legal drafting and analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of corporate and commercial law.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured manner.
Language
  • Fluency in English and Bangla (written and verbal).
