Description
We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive CMO Associate to support the Chief Marketing Officer of PalmPay. Based in our Hangzhou office, this role will serve as a key link between the CMO and teams across China and our operational markets - Nigeria, Tanzania, Bangladesh.
You’ll help streamline marketing operations, coordinate with internal stakeholders, and support strategic planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP) to improve coordination and accountability across the marketing & communication function.
- Assist the CMO in monitoring progress on key campaigns and deliverables, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Organise recurring check-ins, reporting and documentation to keep workflows structured.
- Track marketing KPIs and campaign performance for reporting and analysis
- Cross-team liaison (China)
- Act as the communication bridge between the CMO and China-based colleagues (product, operations, finance, etc)
- Coordinate internal approvals, information sharing, and feedback loops to ensure alignment and timely execution of marketing initiatives.
- You will be supported by a junior officer for day-to-day liaison work.
- Strategic support
- Conduct market and competitor research to support multi-country planning and decision making
- Help prepare internal documents and presentations for strategic projects and management meetings
- Continuously research marketing best practices - both globally and locally - and proactively share relevant insights, tools and case studies with the team to drive ongoing improvement.
- Marketing execution
- Translate press releases and other brand communications into Chinese and manage distribution within China
- Support the execution of co-marketing and partnership activities with China-based partners and vendors
- Help coordinate Chinese-language assets and ensure alignment across bilingual materials
About you
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 2.1 classification; additional marketing-specific qualifications or training a plus
- You have studied at a top university in the US or UK and are familiar with Western culture, having lived, worked, or studied in an English-speaking environment
- You’re curious and eager to learn about fintech and marketing
- Naturally organised and detail-oriented, you manage your time well and can handle multiple priorities across different time zones.
- You’re self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independently to drive projects forward
- You have strong working knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint, with an eye for good design
- You’re comfortable using collaboration tools like Google Workspace, Asana, and other online project management platforms.
