The role requires strong experience in financial services law, regulatory engagement, and commercial contract management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advisory support on device financing, consumer lending, and banking operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with Philippine laws and regulations, including BSP, SEC, NPC (Data Privacy Act), and consumer protection laws.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate financing agreements, partnership contracts, vendor agreements, and service-level agreements.
  • Manage legal risks related to credit, collections, recovery, and default management.
  • Support the business in regulatory filings, licensing, and approvals with government authorities.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel, regulators, and auditors.
  • Handle disputes, litigation matters, and enforcement actions when required.
  • Provide legal input on new products, business models, and partnerships.
  • Develop and implement internal legal policies and compliance frameworks.
  • Conduct legal training and awareness sessions for internal teams.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law; Bar passer in the Philippines (required).
  • 5+ years of legal experience in device financing, banking, fintech, or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of banking laws, lending regulations, consumer finance, and data privacy.
  • Proven experience handling financing structures, credit risk, and collections-related legal issues.
  • Experience working with regulators (BSP, SEC, NPC) is highly preferred.
  • Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in fintech, digital lending, or mobile device financing.
  • In-house legal experience within a bank, financing company, or fintech firm.
  • Familiarity with cross-border or regional legal operations.
