We’re reinventing the payments experience by making it easy and reliable for everyone to transfer money, pay bills and shop online.We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Asset Recovery Specialist to support the recovery of financed electronic devices (such as smartphones,) from delinquent or defaulted customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections or asset recovery, with experience in consumer device financing, repossession logistics, and customer negotiation.The role involves tracking delinquent accounts, initiating recovery efforts, coordinating with third-party agents, and ensuring compliance with legal and internal recovery procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts to identify opportunities for device recovery.
  • Contact customers via phone, email, SMS, or app notifications to negotiate device returns, settlements, or repayment arrangements.
  • Coordinate voluntary return logistics, including prepaid shipping labels, courier pickups, or drop-off points.
  • Work with third-party partners such as logistics companies, device refurbishers, or skip tracing agents to locate and retrieve assets.
  • Investigate cases of non-returned, lost, stolen, or fraudulently financed devices.
  • Use internal systems to track device status, IMEI numbers, and geolocation (if applicable).
  • Ensure all interactions comply with consumer protection laws, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and company policies.
  • Document all recovery actions and maintain detailed case records in CRM or recovery platforms.
  • Analyze trends in non-recovery and provide feedback to improve underwriting, fraud detection, and customer support processes.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams when escalation or legal proceedings are necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 2+ years of experience in collections, asset recovery, telecom, or device financing industries.
    • Experience working with digital tools and CRM systems such as Salesforce, Zendesk, or recovery-specific platforms.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
    • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
    • Knowledge of mobile device lifecycle, IMEI tracking, and reverse logistics is a strong advantage.
    • Ability to work independently and handle high-volume portfolios.
    • Familiarity with data privacy and consumer protection regulations.
