Key Responsibilities of an HR Intern
Employee Records & Administration
Update and maintain employee databases and personnel files help prepare HR documents such as contracts, onboarding materials, and reports. And support payroll preparation and benefits administration.HR Policy & Compliance
Ensure HR procedures align with company policies and labour laws, help monitor workplace compliance and employee conduct and participate in drafting HR policies and guidelines.Payroll Preparation
Assist in collecting and verifying employee timesheets, attendance, and leave records, support the calculation of wages, overtime, and deductions, and help ensure accuracy in payroll data entry and processing.Compliance & Documentation
Maintain payroll records in line with company policies and labour laws, assist in preparing statutory reports (e.g., tax, social security, pension contributions). And support audits by providing payroll related documentation.Employee Support
Respond to basic payroll-related queries from employees, help distribute payslips and ensure confidentiality of payroll information and assist in resolving discrepancies in salary payments.HR Administration
Update employee databases with salary and benefits information, support HR team in integrating payroll with other HR functions (onboarding, benefits) and participate in drafting payroll guidelines and process improvements.
Skills & Qualifications
Pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in HR, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration strong numerical and analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with payroll software. and high attention to detail and confidentiality. Good communication and organizational skills.
