Position Overview
We are seeking a Product Manager for our Pakistan business who will focus on designing, implementing, and managing financial products with end-to-end regulatory compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of SBP, SECP, and AML regulations, as well as experience embedding risk controls into products. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in fintech, banking, or consumer installment financing, and a track record of leading compliance-driven product launches in Pakistan.
Core Responsibilities
Compliance Framework Development
Design product requirements in alignment with SBP, SECP, and Anti-Money Laundering Act regulations.
Lead product compliance reviews, covering user data privacy (PDPA), Shariah compliance, and anti-fraud measures.
Embedding Risk Control into Products
Translate compliance requirements into product features such as KYC flows, repayment algorithms, and fee disclosure templates.
Coordinate with product and tech teams in China to implement features.
Monitor regulatory policy changes (e.g., BNPL regulations) and adapt product strategies accordingly.
Local Compliance Collaboration
Liaise with law firms, consulting agencies, and SBP-accredited bodies for licensing, audits, and reporting.
Train business teams to identify high-risk scenarios (e.g., promotions during religious periods, remote-region collections).
Mandatory Requirements
Experience
4+ years of product compliance experience in fintech, banking, or consumer installment financing.
Experience in the Pakistani financial market is strongly preferred.
Must have led or participated in at least one full financial product compliance launch (case summary required).
Professional Knowledge
Familiarity with:

✅ Shariah Compliance framework
Language
Fluent in English (working language).
Proficiency in Urdu is a plus.
Soft Skills
Risk Sensitivity: Ability to anticipate regulatory grey areas (e.g., interest-free promotions during religious festivals).
Local Insight: Knowledge of user segmentation in Pakistan (e.g., repayment cycles for agricultural income groups).
Resilience: Adaptability to fast-changing regulations (e.g., SBP’s tightened BNPL policy in 2024).
