Job Summary:
PalmPay is looking for a proactive and performance-driven Field Sales Business Development Manager to drive the adoption of our ATM Card solutions and onbord agent’s to enable market expansion. The ideal candidate is a strategic sales professional with a deep understanding of Nigeria’s retail, SME, and informal markets.

PalmPay is looking for a proactive and performance-driven Field Sales Business Development Manager to drive the adoption of our ATM Card solutions and onbord agent’s to enable market expansion. The ideal candidate is a strategic sales professional with a deep understanding of Nigeria’s retail, SME, and informal markets.
Agent Acquisition & Activation
- Identify and onboard agents across markets and key informal sectors.
- Promote PalmPay’s ATM Card payment adoption.
- Educate agents on transaction processes, benefits, and settlement terms.
- Ensure successful agent’s activation and early transaction ramp-up.
- Conduct physical sales visits, product demos, and onboarding sessions.
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospective merchants and partners.
- Collect market intelligence and provide feedback to improve product-market fit.
- Work with and supervise field sales agents to expand merchant network.
- Ensure targets are met through training, motivation, and field support.
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly performance using CRM tools.
- Report on acquisition metrics, transaction growth, and activation success rates.
- Provide regular insights and suggestions to improve field strategy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline.
- 2 years’ experience in fintech, payments, or merchant/agent services sales.
- Proven ability to execute merchant acquisition and field sales strategies.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience in managing field teams and working with targets.
- Deep knowledge of local market dynamics and payment behavior.
- Tech-savvy with ability to use CRM or sales reporting tools.
- Highly organized, target-focused, and self-motivated.
