Role Overview
Manager under business will be responsible for executing PalmPay’s PSP-driven business expansion in Bangladesh, focusing on retail network activation, e-money distribution, and channel execution, while supporting merchant acquisition and BNPL integration at the field level to drive transaction growth, ensure operational efficiency, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements of Bangladesh Bank.
Key Responsibilities
1. Execute onboarding and activation of retail agents, merchants, and distributors as cash-in/e-money load points, ensuring proper setup, liquidity (float) management, performance monitoring (transactions, retention, activity), and adherence to KYC, AML, and e-money regulatory guidelines.
2. Implement and manage multi-tier distribution channels (distributors, sub-distributors, retailers) by maintaining relationships with partners, executing incentive structures and KPIs, supporting geographic expansion, and coordinating field operations with sales teams and regional resources.
3. Onboard and manage merchants for e-money acceptance, digital payments, and BNPL-enabled transactions (particularly smartphone financing), while coordinating with partner banks/NBFIs/MFIs to support loan origination and EMI collection at the merchant level.
4. Drive transaction volumes across bill payments, merchant payments, and EMI collections by supporting the implementation of pricing models (MDR, commissions, service fees) and tracking performance to contribute to revenue growth and operational efficiency.
5. Support integration and execution of PalmPay’s BNPL offerings within retail and merchant channels by enabling device financing through distributors and retailers and promoting digital lending adoption at point-of-sale (POS).
6. Ensure all business activities comply with PSP regulations, internal policies, and the Payment and Settlement Systems framework by supporting due diligence, documentation, audit readiness, and reporting of any suspicious or non-compliant activities.
7. Prepare and maintain regular reports on agent and merchant onboarding, transaction performance, and channel productivity while coordinating with internal teams, including product, compliance, risk, technology, and partnerships, for smooth operations and issue resolution.
Required Qualifications & Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field.
2. 7+ years of experience in fintech, MFS/PSP, telecom distribution, or FMCG channel management.
3. Experience in agent onboarding, merchant acquisition, and field sales execution.
4. Exposure to digital lending or BNPL ecosystems is preferred.
